The Texaco Doodlebug (also called the Diamond T Doodlebug) was a streamlined, futuristic American tanker truck of the 1930s. The vehicles were streamlined and highly aerodynamic. The overall shape, a flattened half-cylinder rounded at the front and tapered at the end, has been described as a "pill" or "breadloaf". The innovative and futuristic tank truck that the company subsequently created is popularly known as the Texaco Doodlebug. Five years before the 1938 Diamond T tank truck was manufactured, the Heil Co, in conjunction with the Diamond T Motor Car Company, worked with Texaco to produce the unmistakable, distinctive Texaco Doodlebug. The Texaco Doodlebug was a peculiar-looking Diamond T tanker truck designed and built in the 1930s. It was an experiment in streamlining - a design style that was proving popular at the time.

The Texaco Diamond T-based tank truck was a pioneering effort in streamlining of commercial vehicles. This vehicle was designed by Howard W. Kizer, superintendent of Motor Equipment for the Texas Company. The trucks were 26 feet long with the capacity of 1500 gallons of fuel.
